Details of activity: PD 138312 demonstrated potent Gram positive activity with a generally 10-50 time lower MIC value to ciprofloxacin. When tested on Xanthomonas maltophilia, its activity was similar to ciprofloxacin but worse that clinafloxacin and PD 131628.
